Shimla, Jun 18 (UNI) The Himachal Government would consider issuance of required certificates to Bhakra Dam oustees hailing from the state and rehabilitated in Hisar and elsewhere for recruitment to Dogra regiment in the army.
This was sated by Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal while addressing a public meeting at Kheri in Gram Panchayat Kot Khas in Kot Kehloor assembly segment of district Bilaspur today.
The Chief Minster also laid foundation stone of Shri Naina Devi Group of villages Lift Drinking Water Supply Scheme estimated to cost Rs 5.99 crore.
He said that with the completion of new water supply scheme, the residents of the town would get 135 litres per head per day.
He added that residents of five local gram panchayats would also be benefitted with water supply of 60 litres per head per day. He said that with the completion of the scheme, a long cherished desire of residents of the area would be fulfilled.
The Chief Minister said the state government had recommended denotification of Naina Devi Wild Life Sanctuary to Central Government with request that people had many reservations regarding the same.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister announced opening of two Veterinary Dispensaries in Naina Devi area besides one Seed Grading Centre at Majra and Extension Counter of HP State Cooperative Bank at Toba village. He also announced that the government would upgrade six Government Primary Schools in the area.
