Pune, Jun 18 (UNI) Heavy to very heavy rain are likely to occur at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, north and south Orissa, Jharkhand, north and south Chattisgarh, Arunchal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Bihar.
Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in coastal Karnataka, Kerala, few places in Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha, south Konkan, Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, south interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands, isolated places in west Rajasthan, Gujarat, north Konkan, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka.
The southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Gangetic West Bengal and east Uttar Pradesh and active in Orissa, west Uttar Pradesh and east Madhya Pradesh. However, it was subdued in Punjab, west Rajasthan, Gujarat, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.
Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at most places in Assam, Meghalaya and Jharkhand. Heavy rains have occured at most places in West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and east Madhya Pradesh.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, east Uttar Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Chattisgarh, few places in Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Lakshadweep, isolated places in Uttarakhand, Haryana, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The day temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Rajasthan, where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in. Mainly dry weather prevailed in Punjab, west Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Marathwada and Andhra Pradesh.
