Fourth Constituent Assembly meeting today

Kathmandu, June 18 : Fourth meeting of the Constituent Assembly (CA) will take place today

The meeting like its previous two editions has been overshadowed by the lack of progress among parties to break the deadlock and pave the way for formation of new Government in Nepal.

According to Nepalnews, the first meeting of CA held on May 28 had implemented republic in Nepal. However, the two successive CA meetings were only held briefly since the parties were busy in talks.

The meeting of three parties held on Tuesday also failed to break the deadlock over power-sharing.

If this meeting also fails to reach understanding, the CA meeting will have no agenda.

The CA has been elected to write a new constitution for the country within two years.
