Varanasi, Jun 18 (UNI) Backing the formation of a democratic government in Nepal, Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal today said such a set-up in the neighbouring district would further strengthen ''our relation with them''.
Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Jaiswal said people of Nepal will get voice with the advent of democracy in the country.
On being asked about increasing inflation, he said, ''it is an international issue, petroleum product prices have spiralled in many countries, thus our government was left with no option, but to increase rates.'' Leaving the burden of Naxal eradication upon the state governments, he said Centre could only provide force and weapons to help in dealing with the problem, however, solution or startegy should be planned out by the state governments.
Centre can aid state governments on such issues, but maintenance of law and order is the work of state governments, he maintained.
