Hyderabad, Jun 18 (UNI) The five-member core committee on Telangana, constituted by the main Opposition TDP in Andhra Pradesh, to decide the party's stand on the vexed Telangana issue, met at Devupalli in Vizianagaram District today.
After an elaborate discussion for over three hours on the modalities for eliciting the views of people of different regions of the state, the meeting chaired by TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu, decided to meet again after two weeks.
Addressing media, Mr Naidu said the party would discuss the issue of granting statehood for Telangana and arrive at an ''appropriate decision at an appropriate time.'' He asked the party leaders not to approach the media and complicate the issue further and directed them to observe restraint in view of the sensitiveness of the issue.
