London, June 18 : They're rarely photographed without lipstick, eyeliner or foundation. But now, glamorous celebrities like Myleene Klass, Fearne Cotton and Davina McCall have ditched make-up and appeared without it in Heat magazine.
English presenter Fearne Cotton, 26, model Myleene Klass, 30, Big Brother host Davina McCall, 40, Socialite Tara Palmer Tomkinson, 36, and presenter Claudia Winkleman, 36, have dumped the war paint in a stand against airbrushing.
The move aimed at proving that no one can achieve physical perfection without a helping hand from make-up products.
McCall looks remarkably fresh-faced without concealer, blusher and mascara.
The mother-of-three said she was proud to show off her natural beauty, even if it did include the odd blemish or wrinkle.
"It's depressing aspiring to perfection all the time when you can't achieve it," the Telegraph quoted McCall, as saying.
Palmer-Tomkinson, also appeared without make-up, but said she looked "like a boy".
"My face is all crooked. But imperfections can make people beautiful," she said.
Klass said she was aware of her face's flaws, but had accepted them.
"I have freckles, a lazy eye and I don't have much in the eyebrow department. But this is me," she said.
The exercise was "pretty terrifying" for Winkelman, who said she looked 72 years old without make-up.
While the youngest of the group, Fearne Cotton, complained about her "pancake ears" and said she looked "like an egg".
