Jammu, Jun 18 (UNI) In a bid to provide improved services to its subscribers, Bhartiya Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is going to install 350 new towers in entire Jammu and Kashmir.
''We have received number of complaints pertaining to poor connectivity, signal problem, overlapping of calls and many other related to networking. No more troubles will be faced by our subscribers by the end of August, 2008 as new towers besides hi-tech equipments are being installed,'' A K Mittal, General Manager Mobile said in an interaction organised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industries here this evening.
Mr. Mittal said due to the non-availability of refined and hi-tech equipments, BSNL was facing hard times for the past two years but with the installation of enhanced apparatus, the technical snag would be completely treated.
''At present, we have 570 towers installed throughout the state and with the setting up of fresh 350, the things will be improved and subscribers will have good days ahead,'' Mr Mittal told UNI.
However, R K Koul, General Manager, BSNL said in the next phase, 300 more sites are going to set up in various regions of the state, so that subscribers have quality services either through landline or mobiles.
''Installation of new infrastructure will boost our services where as tele-networking will also be made available to the subscribers on mobiles besides new three lakh connections by the end of current financial year,'' Mr Koul added.
