New Delhi, Jun 18: Country's leading telecom service provider, Bharti Airtel today said it has entered into an NNI(network-to-network interface) agreement with Pacnet to interconnect their respective networks, expanding connections to and from India. Under this agreement, the two companies will directly interconnect their network infrastructure to expand their respective MPLS (multi protocol label switching)-based IP VPN (Internet Protocol virtual private network) capabilities and will provide advanced IP solutions to key business customers in the region, a company statement said.
''This agreement is in line with our strategy to extend the global reach of our customers and providing them a secure, consistent and robust network running right from their doorstep to the most populous markets across Asia Pacific and beyond,'' President, Enterprise Services, Bharti Airtel Ltd David Nishball said.
The agreement will enable both the companies to deliver greater coverage, seamless user experience and reliable technology to their customers.
Following the signing of the NNI, Airtel and Pacnet also announced a special "Gateway to India" offering for high capacity International Private Line circuits between the United States and India.
