Pakistan Foreign Minster to represent his country at OIC meet
Islamabad, Jun 17 (UNI) Pakistan Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi will represent his country at a three-day session of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM), beginning on June 18 at Kampala, Uganda.
The forthcoming session of the CFM will take place almost a year after the 34th session held in Islamabad in May last year wherein Pakistan assumed chairmanship of the body.
One of the major accomplishments during Pakistan's chairmanship of the CFM was the revision of the OIC charter, which reflected realities to meet the challenges of the 21st Century, Pakistan official spokesman Muhammad Sadiq said here.
Pakistan would also take up the issue of Jammu and Kashmir during the upcoming meeting, the spokesman added.
