New Delhi, Jun 17 (UNI) An Information and Facilitation Centre providing information on the different programmes and schemes of the Ministry of Women and Child Development opened here today.
Inaugurating the Centre, Minister of State for Women and Child Development Renuka Choudhary said it was the first interface of the common man with the Ministry and would facilitate all their interactions with the policy makers.
The Centre would provide copies of news magazines and other information literature from different organisations under the Ministry, such as the Central Social Welfare Board, National Commission for Women, NIPCCD, NCPCR, Central Adoption Resource Agency and Rashtriya Mahila Kosh.
It would also assist voluntary organisations to track the status of their application and help them familiarise themselves with online application tracking system.
The common man would now have easy access to information about initiatives being planned for development and welfare of children and women, and people can also give suggestions and feedback about the Government programmes and policies, she said.
