Karnataka Police awaiting Postmortem report of Padmapriya
Udupi, June 17 (UNI) Karnataka Police are awaiting Postmortem report of BJP Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat's wife Padmapriya, who allegedly committed suicide by hanging in a flat at Dwaraka, New Delhi on June 15.
Inspector General of Police (Western Range) A M Prasad told UNI that the report of the postmortem done by three doctors at Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi was expected to be received by tomorrow. Superintendent of Police Siddaramaiah, who has gone to Delhi, would collect the report.
Replying a question, he said that the prime suspect Athul Kumar Rao, family friend of Mr Bhat was still not taken into Police custody or arrested. He had been taken by the police team to Delhi on Saturday last to trace the area where Padmapriya found hanged from the ceiling in the room by hanging. The Delhi police have inquired Athul Kumar. He will be brought by the police team to Bangalore tonight, he added.
Mr Prasad said that the further investigation in to this mysterious case would be pursued after receiving the postmortem report, he added.
