Pune, Jun 17 (UNI) Heavy to very heavy rain are likely to occur at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, north Orissa, Jharkhand, many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, Chattisgarh and isolated places in south Orissa.
Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Punjab, east Madhya Pradesh, south Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, few places in Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, north Konkan, south Madhya Maharashtra, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lashadweep, isolated places in west Rajasthan, Gujarat, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka.
The southwest Monsoon has been vigorous in Gangetic West Bengal and Orissa and active in west Uttar Pradesh, while it has been subdued in Gujarat, Madhya Maharshtra, Vidarbha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.

The day temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Rajasthan, where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in. Mainly dry weather prevailed in Arunachal Pradesh, Punjab and Vidarbha.
