London, June 17 : Austrian incest fiend Josef Fritzl's dungeon house has generated huge interest among ghoulish tourists who pile outside the hell house to catch a glimpse of it.
Police have been forced to keep two officers permanently guarding the property in the Austrian town of Amstetten from the sick sightseers.
Fritzl, 73, used his cellar to lock away daughter Elisabeth, 42, for 24 years and father seven children with her.
His crimes have sickened Austria, but they have not stopped people wanting to take a look at the house.
Visitors arriving daily in cars or by coach happily pose at the front of the house. Police say they are powerless to stop them.
A photographer from a German newspaper who was outside the house when Rosemarie, Josef Fritzl's wife, arrived: "I was doing a feature on the number of tourists coming there for sightseeing trips."
"There were people standing outside laughing and joking, and posing for pictures in front of the House of Horror," The Daily Star quoted the snapper, as saying.
"She had to drive past all these tourists and would have heard them laughing and joking, I don't know what she must have thought, but it can't have been a pleasant experience. She got out the car and hurried inside, and didn't look back at all," the snapper added.
