TRS stages dharna against CBSE syllabus in AP

Hyderabad, Jun 16: Leaders and workers of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) today staged dharna in front of all district collectorates in Telangana region, demanding the government to withdraw the decision of introduction of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) syllabus from sixth standard in government schools.

The agitators also organised ''rasta roko'' and protest demonstrations against the government decision.

TRS president and former Union Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao participated in a dharna at Karim Nagar, from where he was elected as Lok Sabha member.

Reports from various districts said the police arrested several TRS leaders and workers for obstructing the traffic.
