Hyderabad, June 16 (UNI) Ahead of the crucial TDP core committee meeting on Telangana on June 18, the main oppoisiton TDP today issued a notice to one of its Telangana leaders G Sukinder Reddy for allegedly ''sabotaging'' the winning chances of party candidate M Narasimhulu for the Alair Assembly seat in the recent bypolls.
Mr Reddy was given show cause notice for ''anti-party'' activities, party sources said.
Even after repeated appeals from the TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu not not to air views on Telangana and other issues in public, Mr Sukinder Reddy, serving the party as vice-president had contended that some leaders were ''hatching a conspiracy to send him out of the party for espousing the cause of Telangana in the party forum for the last three years''.
The show cause notice to Mr Reddy came a day after Mr Chandrababu Naidu dared the Telangana leaders within the party to quit the party.
In the backdrop of the TDP contemplating disciplinary action against him, Mr Sukinder Reddy had a meeting recently with Mr Devender Goud, considered number two in the party. Mr Goud has been putting pressure on the party high command to make its stand clear on the Telangana issue for the party to perform better in that region in the 2009 Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections.
