Sainik School for Rewari district

Chandigarh, Jun 16: Union Ministry of Defence has sanctioned a Sainik School at Gothra village, Tapa Khori in Rewari district.

The school would be set up over an area of 51 acres of land at a cost of Rs 25 crore on Narnual-Rewari road, informed Haryana PWD (B&R) Minister Capt Ajay Singh Yadav.

''A team led by Colonel R S Nehra, a representative of Union Ministry of Defence had visited the site in March and April last and had recommended that site which the village panchayat had already donated free of cost,'' said Capt Yadav.

He said that Haryana Government would also incur a sum of Rs 1.5 crore per year on providing basic infrastructure to this school.
