Chandigarh, Jun 16 (UNI) A three-day regional training conference on 65th Round of Socio-Economic Survey would be organised for the field staff of the Field Operations Division, National Sample Survey Organisation deployed in Haryana and Chandigarh region.
Giving details, Haryana government's Economic and Statistical Advisor R K Bishnoi today said the 65th Round of Socio-Economic survey would be undertaken by the Government of India from July 1 and it would be completed by June 30, 2009.
He said that the 65th Round had been earmarked for survey on 'Domestic Tourism', 'Housing Condition' and 'Urban Slum'.
''It is very important that reliable data is collected by the field staff as it would help in appropriate planning and policy formulation in various fields,'' Mr Bishnoi said.
The training started on June 16 at Regional Institute of Cooperative Management, Sector 32, Chandigarh.
