Photographer manhandled by MNS activists
Pune, June 16 (UNI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers today roughed up a photographer of a Marathi daily for allegedly blocking their path at Alka Talkies chowk in the city.
Mediapersons this afternoon held a silent demostration outside MNS leader Raj Thackeray's residence here, condemning the incident.
Raj was proceeding in his car to his local residence, followed by his bodyguards in another vehicle. They stopped at the junction and roughed up the photographer, who they thought was blocking their way.
Meanwhile, Pune Union of Working Journalist President Dhananjay Jadhav and General Secretary Jitendra Ashtekar spoke to the State Home Minister R R Patil, who assured them that action will be taken against those found guilty.
