The case has probably become the most intriguing murder mystery this country has ever seen.

In a new development, the CBI has detained Vijay Mandal, a 24-year-old servant of Rajesh Talwar"s neighbour. CBI officials, who took Mandal into detention last evening, have been questioning him in connection with the twin murders. The CBI earlier this morning cordoned off the entire L-Block in Noida Sector 25"s Jalvayu Vihar, where Dr Rajesh Talwar"s house is located. The officials also took Dr Talwar"s compounder Krishna, who is also under arrest, to the former"s residence in order to reconstruct the crime scene and interrogate him on the location. The investigators further searched for the murder weapon in a nearby drain and sealed a garage in the L-Block locality.

The agency has been hunting for the murder weapon and Arushi and Hemrajs missing mobile phones in and around Talwars" residence.

Later today, the CBI is due to conduct a psychological analysis test on Dr Talwar"s family friend Anita Durrani, who is also a dentist.

In the latest twist in the case, CBI sources suggested on Sunday that Aarushi"s mother Nupur Talwar could also face arrest like her husband Dr Rajesh Talwar.
