Ferozabad, Jun 16 (UNI) Reiterating that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati was ''playing a game of political vendetta'', SP supremo and former UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today warned the BSP government of agitation if it did not cease its activity of framing SP leaders in fake cases.
While addressing a public rally here, Mr Yadav said the BSP government was openly commiting atrocities on the SP workers.
Recalling the May 30 incident, where police released trigger upon the SP workers, who were supporting Gujjars in their demonstration, Mr Yadav said, officials who were indulged in the firing will not be spared.
''We will go to court, if the present government did not book the accused officials,'' Mr Yadav underlined.
Unleashing vitriol on the 11-month-old BSP regime, he said ''the government has crossed all the limits of corruption and atrocities, such a scenario of public exploitation was never seen in the political history of the state.'' Public, including dalits and downtroddens, are ''unsafe'' in Mayawati's rein as police stations, which are ment for redressal are being vandalised and looted, he said.
Taking the side of the Gujjars, the SP supremo said their demands were genuine and the Rajasthan and UP government should accept their demands.
Motivating the SP workers to work hard for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, he said ''in order to save the people from atrocities of the present government, the SP should put all its effort to achieve success in the election.'' UNI XC-PDM LPB CS1928
