Ujjain, MP, Jun 16: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) vice-president Phool Singh Baraiya today denied that there were any talks with the Congress over seat-sharing arrangement in view of the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.
''The LJP will decide about the number of seats from where it will contest in future. The party has not grown enough strong in the state that it can decide to go alone in polls,'' Mr Baraiya told reporters here yesterday.
Replying to a question, he said the party had no discussion with any party about the seat-sharing. The LJP would think about it if a proposal was received in this regard from the Congress.
Mr Baraiya claimed that his party and the Congress could defeat the BJP in the assembly polls together. Hence, secular parties must contest elections together.
