Lionel Richie to reunite with The Commodores for tour
London, Jun 16 : American singer Lionel Richie has revealed that he will be getting back together with The Commodores for a reunion tour.
The Commodores were formed in 1968, and the 58-year-old soul singer, is eager to get back with the band and no later than two years. "We better do it now, or in the next ten years nobody would care," the Sun quoted him as saying.
Another reason that Ritchie would like the band to come together again is so that they can do a tour before it was too late, especially after the passing away of guitarist Milan Williams two years ago.
Bass player Ronald La Pread had joined Lionel on stage on his last tour to perform band hits such as Three Times A Lady.
Richie, who is in Antigua for a music festival, had broken away from the band to launch a solo career in the 1970s.
