HDFC opens another branch in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jun 16 (UNI) HDFC Bank, one of the India's premier banks, today opened another branch in the down town here today.

With this, three branchs are of the bank are now functioning in the Srinagar city.

Mr Navin Puri, Country Head, Branch Banking, HDFC Bank said that now seven branches of the bank are functioning in the valley.

He said the new branch will offer its customers world-class banking services under one roof ranging from basic services such as savings account, fixed deposits, current account, mutual funds, lockers, NRI services, demat, to sophisticated direct access banking channels such as ATM, phoneBanking, net banking and the Bank's International credit and debit cards.

Mr Puri said we see high market potential in this area therefore it was important that we further strengthen our presence and reach in northern India.

This branch represents our bank's expansion strategy to tap new growing markets in the country. The region offers a perfect mix of corporate and retail clients for us to capitalize upon, he added.
