CDIL FY08 net up 138 per cent at Rs 19.50 cr

New Delhi, Jun 16: Compact Disc India Ltd (CDIL) today said its net profit has increased 138 per cent to Rs 19.50 crore for the year ended March 2008 as against Rs 8.18 crore during the last fiscal. Its revenue increased 104 per cent to Rs 102.78 crore during FY08 as against Rs 50.29 crore during FY07.

''The strong performance in FY 2007-08 is a culmination of strategic initiatives taken by the company on several fronts notably in the areas of acquiring international projects, deepening of core competencies in the field of 3D animation and associate delight,'' CDIL Chairman Suresh Kumar said in a statement. The company's overseas orderbook stands at Rs 282 crore, he added.
