Aksh launches IPTV service 'icontrol'

New Delhi, Jun 16: Aksh Optifibre Ltd today said it has launched its IPTV service 'icontrol', which does not require a broadband connection, in association with MTNL.

"The service will give the subscribers more than 100 channels like Sony, Star, Neo, Ten Sports and a host of others, along with Video on Demand with over 200 movies with rewind, fast forward and pause option,'' a company statement said. It will also have Video Classified pages service. One has to pay Rs 999 as a security deposit (refundable) and will get a setup box. Then, he needs to pay Rs 199 per month to get icontrol service through MTNL. The service does not require telephone, computer, DVD Player, Internet or broadband,'' Aksh Optifibre Managing Director Dr Choudhari said. Aksh is investing close to 37 million dollars in its services business on the IPTV and VoIP platforms.
