Shimla, Jun 15 (UNI) Widespread rains lashed all the mid and lower hills in Himachal Pradesh during the last 24 hrs following which the day and night temperatures across the state fell by a few degrees, the met office said today.
The maximum temperature at Shimla tumbled by over four degrees to stand at 19 degrees as compared to 23.2 degree Celsius recorded yesterday following 32.5 mm rain since last night.
Similarly, the day temperatures at Sundernagar fell to 23.6 degrees, 22.6 at Kalpa and 26.8 degrees at Dharamshala, the met office said.
The minimum temperature at Shimla town stood at 16.4 degrees, 22 at Sundernagar, 21.4 Bhuntar, 13.4 at Kalpa, 17.3 at Dharamshala, 23 at Mandi, Una 18.8 and 19.4 degrees.
Shimla town was experiencing intermittent rains since last night forcing people to remain indoors.
The met office has warned of heavy rains at isolated places in the state during the next 24 hrs.
