Swamy demands dismissal of DMK govt in TN
Madurai, Jun 15 (UNI) Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy today sought the dismissal of the DMK government in Tamil Nadu following the ''deteriorating'' law and order situation in the state.
Talking to newspersons here, Dr Swamy alleged that movement of LTTE cadres was rampant in the state and the DMK government had ''failed'' to take any action against them.
He claimed that medicines and drugs were being smuggled to Sri Lanka from Tamil Nadu and the uniforms for LTTE cadres were stitched in Erode.
Asked about AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa's demand for Finance Minister P Chidambaram's resignation, he said he welcomed it.
Regarding the party's stand on alliance in the Lok Sabha elections next year, he said during the last Assembly elections his party had allied with the BJP. However, after the elections, BJP state secretary L Ganesan announced that the electoral pact was over. Hence, it was for the BJP to make it clear whether the Janata Party remained an ally of the BJP or not.
