I won't plead before anyone for presidency: PM Koirala
Kathmandu, June 15 : Nepal's Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala on Sunday said that he will not go before anyone pleading for presidency.
Accoding to a Kantipur reports, he said at a function held in Narayanhiti palace, "I am not someone who will run around pleading for president from anyone."
His remarks have come amid reports of dispute on who should become the first president of republic Nepal.
While Nepali Congress (NC) leaders have forwarded the name of Koirala for the position, Maoists have flatly rejected the idea.
The Maoists who are set to lead the new government have said that installing Koirala even as a ceremonial president will create a parallel power center.
