NCBC's recommendations on creamy layer revised income limits by June 30
New Delhi, Jun 15 : The National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) would give its recommendations on revised income limit for creamy layer classification among the Other Backward Class to the Central Government by June 30 on the basis of State commissions views.
At least 20 State commissions have sent their suggestions on the matter to the NCBC, which is acting on a government directive. The NCBC is expecting similar views from other eight states.
Most of the state commissions have recommended revision of the income limit for creamy layer classification from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 4 lakh to Rs 6 lakh.
The recommendations were made at a conference of the NCBC and State commissions from 20 States here.
At least 40 per cent of the representatives of the State commissions, who did not submit their official recommendations, have promised to submit to NCBC member Abdul Ali Azizi.
The recommendations will define the income limit for the creamy layer among the OBC.
