Cuddalore, Jun 15 (UNI) The ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu has convened its high-level action committee meeting on June 17 to review its ties, which is ''nagging,'' with Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK).
Addressing the party's women's wing state level conference here tonight, Mr Karunanidhi said he could not reply to the doubts raised over the continuance of alliance with PMK as the high-level committee has to discuss the matter and take a decision.
The relation between the two parties hit a new low when DMK Treasurer and Electricity Minister Arcot N Veerasamy complained about an inflammatory speech made by PMK leader Guru.
Handing over a CD to Mr Karunanidhi, Mr Veerasamy said Guru had threatened to behead DMK leaders and demanded action against him.
Mr Karunanidhi, who had described Guru's speech as disgrace to the DMK, said the high level committee would take a decision on the matter.
