London, Jun 14 : Coleen McLoughlin surprised her hubby Wayne Rooney with a special wedding day gift - a performance by the Stereophonics, which kept the football star up all night.

McLoughlin had spent months planning the surprise and thousands of pounds on flying out two members of the chart-topping band to play a set dedicated to Rooney.

Lead singer Kelly Jones and guitarist Richard Jones are said to have captured the unwavering attention of the 60 guests, who were present for the wedding, as they took the stage. Even Rooney was left speechless and spellbound, by the duo, as they delivered a 45-minute set.

"They blew everybody away and Wayne was simply gobsmacked," the Sun quoted a source close to the newlyweds as saying.

"Stereophonics are one of his favourite bands - he looked like he'd won the Lottery," the source added.

The duo later turned their wedding into a huge karaoke party and encouraged friends and family to grab the mic.

They later told those who were present at the 3million pounds bash, which went on till 4am, that they have never been so happy.

"This is the best day of our lives," the two said. "They couldn't stop smiling at each other," a source at their reception in the 14th Century La Cervara Abbey above Portofino, Italy, revealed.

The newlyweds were determined that their guests had a day and night to remember, starting with the breakfast, which consisted of cheese and tomato pizza, sent in on 12 giant trays from a local baker, followed by fish and pasta.
