'Sachar findings not implemented due to Centre, state govts'
Gonda, Jun 14 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Muslim Picchra Varg Mahasabha today blamed the Central and state governments for non-implementation of Sachar Committee's recommendations to date.
After 60 years of Independence, Muslims were victims of government's ''indifferent attitude'', Mahasabha's state unit president Afaq Warasi told newspersons here.
''It has been three years, but the suggestions of the Sachar Committee are yet to be implemented,'' he added.
The Sachar Committee was constituted to assess financial, social and political state of the Muslims, but unfortunately, no progress had been made so far, Mr Warasi said.
The Muslim community will not maintain silence and take to the streets to raise their voice against any injustice, Mr Warasi said.
