Lahore, June 14 : Pakistani actress Yamina Peerzada is gearing up to host the Edinburgh Fringe Festival's first-ever one-woman show in August.
Born and raised in Lahore, 24-year-old Yamina completed her studies from LACAS.
Apart from being an actor, she is also a highly skilled puppeteer.
Yamina has also studied at The Dramatic Art and Design Academy in New Delhi.
The artist, who is currently doing her Master's degree at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, started acting in productions at the age of seven.
Ever since she debuted as an actress in an Australian-Pakistani production, she has worked in over 20 productions both at home and abroad.
Her latest portrayal will be of a young British Asian in Peshkar production's 'Dance without Movement', a play written by Sophia Rashid.
The play revolves around a young girl of Muslim Pakistani origin who is searching for her identity in this dark, comic tale of self-discovery.
Several actors appeared for the screen test, but Yamina beat them all for the role, reports the Daily Times.
