{image-Leander Paes_14062008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Halle, Germany, Jun 14: Leander Paes and Lukas Dlouhy scored a thrilling victory as they battled their way into the doubles final in the euro 713,000 Gerry Weber Open tennis tournament here.

The fourth seeded Indo-Czech pair made a remarkable comeback to overpower Ivan Ljubicic and Robin Soderling 6-4, 0-6, 10-4 in a grueling encounter that lasted for one hour and 30 minutes. Apart from bad weather that forced the match to be halted for an hour, the Paes-Dlouhy duo did not have any problems to win the set 6-4. However, Ljubicic and Soderling settled the scores in the second set as they made no mistakes in winning the set easily.

But Paes and Dlouhy did not allow the last minute jitters to affect their game and regained composure in the tie-break as they won the last six points to seal the match by 10-4.

The final would see the Indo-Czech pair take on the winners of the other semi-final between wild cards Christopher Kas - Philipp Petzschner of Germany and the Russian-German pair of Mikail Youzhny-Mischa Zverev.
