London, June 14 : Your luggage will not be the only thing that will be looked into when you walk into an airport security check, for now security officials will also be able to scan what lies under your clothes!
With new high-tech scanners on the anvil, airport officials will now be able to 'see' the breast and penis size of passengers.
Currently being tested out in 10 US airports, these scanners are designed to replace the physical pat-downs currently in operation, as they would require the passengers to step in to a glass booth, which closes around them
Inside the booth, millimetre waves that go through cloth and identify other materials are used for drawing a three-dimensional image of the passenger's body beneath their clothes.
These graphic images, which clearly display sexual organs, will then be seen by security officers sitting in another room.
According to the Transportation Security Administration, these pictures however, will not be printed stored or transmitted, in order to ensure privacy of the passengers.
They are estimating that 30 of the machines could be installed across the US by the end of 2008.
