Good rainfall not expected in MP in next 3-4 days
Bhopal, June 14 (UNI) After timely onset, monsoon appeared to have weakened in Madhya Pradesh with no hope of good rainfall in the next few days although light rainfall may continue.
A Regional Department Spokesperson said there was no system around the state but drizzle would continue courtesy moisture coming from the Arabian Sea.
A low pressure area was developing on the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal following which good rainfall was expected in the next 4-5 days.
The state capital witnessed passing clouds but it did not rain.
Bhopal has received 39.4 mm rainfall so far, 14.4 mm more than last year.
Showers accompanied by lightning were expected at isolated places in the state in the next 24 hours.
Shivpuri and Sheopurkala recorded two cm and one cm rainfall respectively overnight.
Monsoon had arrived in Madhya Pradesh three days before its usual date this year.
