First session of U'khand Assembly prorogued
Dehra Dun, Jun 14 (UNI) The first session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, which commenced from March 3, 2008, has been prorogued by State Governor B L Joshi.
The Assembly has been prorogued by the Governor with effect from June 13, 2008, according to a press release issued here.
The Assembly was adjourned sine die at the close of its sitting on May 19, 2008.
Also, eleven suspended MLAs have been reinstated. The MLAs include Leader of the Opposition Harak Singh Rawat and BSP leader Md Shezad who along with others were suspended till the last working session for creating ruckus in the House while protesting the tabling of the Uttarakhand State Universities Bill 2008.
