Kohima, Jun 14: A meeting of the Cease Fire Supervisory Board (CFSB) between the Union Government and the NSCN (K) was held at Chumukedima near Dimapur yesterday.

Official sources said here today that the discussion took place on shifting the Vihokhu camp of the GPRN/NSCN to a new location at Khetoi under the Niuland Sub-division in Dimapur district.

Joint Secretary in the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Naveen Verma, Nagaland Commissioner H K Khullu, Director General of Police J Changkija, Maj Gen J P Nehra, Inspector General of Assam Rifles, DIG of CRPF and senior bureaucrats of the State Government were present in the meeting.

The NSCN (K) team was led by Wangtin Naga.

This was the first meeting after the appointment of new Chairman of the CFSB M L Kumawat, who was the Special Secretary (Internal Security) in the MHA, on June one last, but Mr Kumawat could not attend the meeting due to busy schedule and Mr Verma represented him.

On Thursday's Cease Fire Monitoring Group (CFMG) meeting, the NSCN(IM) representatives protested the appointment of Mr Kumawat as the Chairman of CFMG without consulting them and boycotted the meeting.

Mr Kumawat was appointed the Chairman of both CFMG and CFSB.

According to Mr Khullu, the CFSB meeting was cordial and peaceful. He informed that the meeting had decided that the law enforcing agencies, district administrations and the NSCN would inspect and survey the new location on Monday to finalise the new designated camp for the NSCN.
