Announcing this CBI Jt Director (Special Crime) Arun Kumar said Krishna was arrested today on the basis of the tests conducted on him so far.

''We have carried out two tests -- polygraph and narco -- on Krishna at CFSL Bangalore. Earlier, two polygraph tests were conducted on him at CFSL Delhi along with a psychoanalysis test at the AIIMS.'' On the basis of the scientific tests carried out Dr Rajesh Talwar's compounder Krishna has been arrested today, said Mr Kumar adding that Krishna was brought to Delhi last night from Bangalore.

Some more tests may have to be conducted on him, said the Jt Director and added ''Further investigations are on,'' Sources in the CBI informed that a ''khukhri'' had been used to murder Aarushi.

They also said that the agency had found no significant evidence against Dr Rajesh Talwar, while adding that this did not imply that Rajesh was innocent or was no more under the CBI scanner.

In another development, Rajkumar the Nepalese servant of Dr Anita Durrani and her husband Praful Durrani, friends of Talwars, was today detained by the CBI sleuths for questioning, sources added.

On June 11, after nine days of detention, the CBI admitted for the first time that Krishna alias Kishan had been subjected to 'various tests' to verify the various contradictions found in his statements given to the Noida police.

He was later taken to Bangalore for ''further tests''.

In its defence, the CBI had emphasised that ''the tests were being conducted as per Krishna's consent and under the provisions of various laws and that the CBI court has also been informed about this.'' Krishna had been picked up by the CBI soon after it took over the case from the Noida Police on June 1.

Aarushi's body was found in her apartment on May 16 and the police had immediately suspected domestic help Hemraj as the prime suspect.

Police later arrested Dr Rajesh Talwar, a well known dentist, alleging that he killed Aarushi.
