Seminar on Energy conservation
Chandigarh, Jun 13 (UNI) The Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA) would organise a two-day state level seminar on Energy conservation on 16th and 17th June 2008 at Panipat Thermal Power plant, Panipat to encourage the people about energy conservation.
Giving this information, an official spokesman said that people would be informed about the Energy Conservation Act 2001 and for that the department has been organizing seminars at district level started from May 15th 2008.
Till now the department had covered Panipat, Gurgaon, Kurukshetra, Ambala, Kaithal under its campaign and rest of the districts will be covered soon.
The spokesman said that to implement the Energy Conservation Act throughout the state the department has drawn a five year action plan which was launched by Chief Minister Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda last year.
The seminars are being organised to inform all the departments and people in the state about the importance of Energy conservation. In the seminars the prominent speakers are sharing theirs view on Energy Conservation Measures, Haryana Government Initiatives and achievements, Energy Conservation Building codes, Energy Conservation in Industries, Agriculture, and Domestic and Commercial stores.
