Patna, Jun 13 (UNI) The RJD today said the schemes for Mahadalits, under which they would be trained to extract poison from snakes and other poisonous insects exposes the ''mindset'' of the Bihar government towards the Dalits.
RJD national general secretary Shyam Rajak said here that party president and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad honoured the Dalits by providing them due representation in all walks of life while the Nitish government have again pushed them back.
Announcements of such schemes for the Mahadalits were an eye opener and it appears that the facilities of higher and technical education were for the elite, while the Dalits will have to stick to their ''old and indignified'' profession, Mr Raajak added.
He alleged that the present NDA government of Bihar was anti-dalit and only interested in maintaining the old and traditional differences between the Dalits and elites.
