Patna, Jun 13 (UNI) The district and sessions judge of Patna Mandhata Singh today recommended that the anticipatory bail applications of the junior doctors, guilty of assaulting lensmen, be transferred to any other district following the district bar association's refusal to take up their matter.
In his request letter to Patna High Court, Mr Singh urged the court to transfer both the anticipatory bail applications and another matter involving the junior doctors of the PMCH under any other judge.
Refering to the unanimous decision of the association, which even abstained form the court work yesterday on the issue paralysing the judiciary functioning in the civil court, Mr Singh recomended to transfer the cases from the civil court in such circumstances.
Earlier the anticipatory applications enlisted yesterday in the court of Mandhata Singh could not be taken up following the firm stand of the district bar association and the lawyers representing the junior doctors complained of being prevented from appearing before the court to argue on behalf of their client.
Meanwhile the judge, Mr Singh deferred the matter till June 19.
