Melbourne, June 12 : A 22-year-old woman got stuck in an air-conditioning duct while trying to flee from a police station.
According to the police, the woman tried to escape from Corrective Services custody in Sydney Police Centre.
Corrective Services said officers became aware of the woman walking on the roof of the van as it entered the police centre loading dock.
"The woman climbed from the top of the van into the air-conditioning duct," News.com.au quoted, a spokeswoman, as saying.
"She was being taken from Central Local Court to spend the night in the Sydney Police Centre," she added.
The spokeswoman said that the woman had been refused bail after appearing at the court on charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company.
She has now been charged with escaping lawful custody.
