Hyderabad, Jun 12 (UNI) Integrated olechemicals and biodiesel product maker Naturol Bioenergy Limited will ship its maiden 10,000 tonne consignment of biodiesel to Europe from the Port City of Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh around June 22, 2008, a top official today said.
Making the announcement here, Company CEO Bhaskar Chaisani said the Rs 50 crore consignment was the largest and the first shipment of naturol biodiesel out of India procured by a large European buyer. The company plans to export similar quantum once every six weeks.
The 31 million US Dollar 100 per cent EoU Plant conceived by Naturol is India's first fully integrated Oleochemical complex with a capacity to produce 30 million gallon per year (MGPY) of biodiesel and allied products from multi feedstock, he claimed.
Located strategically in the Kakinada SEZ, the plant incorporates world leader Desmet Ballestra's technology.
With a production capacity of 10,000 tonne per year (TPY) of pharmaceutical-grade glycerin for domestic and international markets, the company is funded by a syndicate of VC investors and financial institutions to the tune of Rs 140 crore.
It is also planning for a second tranche of 40 million USD investment for its capacity expansion to 70 million gallons annually besides acquisition-leasing of 80,000 hectares of land in Indonesia and Africa for palm-jatropha plantations.
