Jai Hind TV channel to launch West Asia operations
Dubai, Jun 12 (UNI) Jai Hind Television, a recently launched Malayalam television channel, run by the Congress party in Kerala is to launch its West Asia operations from this week.
According to Congress leader M M Hassan, Channel's Managing Director, the channel will be officially launched in Dubai today.
India's Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs, Vayalar Ravi, will inaugurate the channel's West Asia operations in the presence of Oommen Chandy, leader of opposition in the Kerala Assembly, Ramesh Chennithala, president of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee, and movie stars Dileep and Gopika. The inauguration will be followed by a musical night.
Located in the Dubai Media City, the channel is likely to expand its operations to the other Gulf countries soon, and is seen as a reposte to Kairali, the rival channel run by the CPM in Kerala.
