Mumbai, Jun 11 (UNI) Prices of zinc slab, lead ingot and tin slab in non-ferrous metals today drifted lower on sustained heavy offers by stockists, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.
Prices of lead ingot and zinc slab were down by Rs 200 and Rs 100 per quintal respectively in view of bearish advice from London Metal Exchange (LME) along with Kolkata, Delhi and others, traders said.
Tin slab also moved down by Rs 20 per kg and was quoted at Rs 1,140 per kg.
Only, Nickel cathode went up by Rs 40 per kg to close at Rs 1,210 per kg on better buying support by stockists.
In ferrous metal category, except copper utensils, all metals remained flat on moderate demand from stockists.
Copper utensils dropped by Rs 100 per quintal owing to lack of demand from stockists, traders added.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: copper heavy - Rs 37,400, copper utensils - Rs 33,100, brass utensils - Rs 25,100, brass cuttings - Rs 26,400 and aluminium utensils - Rs 11,200.
Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars - Rs 40,800, aluminium ingots - Rs 14,600, zinc slab - Rs 10,500, lead ingots - Rs 10,800, tin slab - Rs 1,140 per kg and nickel cathode - Rs 1,210 per kg.
