Sultry conditions in Delhi, mercury rises to 38.2 deg C
New Delhi, Jun 11 (UNI) Sultry weather conditions prevailed in Delhi for the second day today with a sharp rise in humidity leading to a increase in the mercury to 38.2 degrees Celsius.
With the Sun shining clear and bright in the sky, after cloudy conditions for the last two days, the maximum temperature rose, from 37.2 degrees C yesterday, to 38.2 degrees C.
The rise in mercury, coupled with a sharp rise in humidity to 82 per cent led to acute perspiring conditions in the city.
Earlier in the morning, the cloud cover and the rise in humidity led to a rise in the minimum temperature to 28.6 degree C.
Delhiites could hope for some relief from sultry conditions towards the weekend with the weathermen forecasting increase in rainfall activity in Northwest india from June 13 onwards.
The met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky here during the next 24 hours with rain and thundershowers in a few areas.
