With the Sun shining clear and bright in the sky, after cloudy conditions for the last two days, the maximum temperature rose, from 37.2 degrees C yesterday, to 38.2 degrees C.

The rise in mercury, coupled with a sharp rise in humidity to 82 per cent led to acute perspiring conditions in the city.

Delhiites could hope for some relief from sultry conditions towards the weekend with the weathermen forecasting increase in rainfall activity in Northwest india from June 13 onwards.
