SP MLA attacks BSP leader; case registered

Sultanpur, Jun 11 (UNI) A case of attempted to murder and manhandling has been registered against Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Chandra Bhadra Singh for allegedly attacking the Bhaujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader here today.

The SP leader and his brother Monu Singh were accused in killing a Allahabad saint Gyaneshwar and were lodged in Naini jail over the same.

The duo were out on parole for a month.

BSP leader Trinetra Pandey had lodged a complaint against the MLA and his six accomplice under section 147, 148, 149, 307, 352, 325, 506 and 504 of IPC.

Mr Pandey had alleged that the SP MLA indulged in illegal extortion of money at his constituency Isauli.

Learning about the complaint, Singh and his accomplice assaulted Mr Pandey, who somehow reached the police station and saved his life.
