Small, Medium grade sugar up

Navi Mumbai, Jun 11 (UNI) Prices of small and medium grade sugar moved up today owing to better buying support from stockists, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants Association said.

Small and Medium grade sugar increased by Rs 4 and Rs 2 per quintal respectively, owing to better buying support from stockists.

Ex-mill small and medium grade sugar, remained steady on second consecutive day today on moderate demand, traders said.

Following are the spot wholesale rates of sugar per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,459/1,510, Medium grade: Rs 1,487/1,560.

Ex-mill small grade: Rs 1,450/1,475 and medium grade: Rs 1,475/1,490.
