Lucknow, Jun 11 (UNI) Mumbai Rizvi Builders beat the Indian Oil by 28 guns in the finals of the Sahara City Homes Sheesh Mahal Cricket tournament here today.
Rizvi Builder's have lifted the covetted trophy for the first time.
With this win they earned a cash prize of Rs 11 lakh besides, the glittering winner's trophy, while the runners up Indian Oil took home a cash prize of Rs 5.5 lakh along with runners up trophy.
At the end of the tournament Cheteshwar Pujara of Indian Oil was declared the 'Man of the Tournament' on his consistent performance with the bat, pocketed a cash prize of Rs 51,000, Paresh Patel of Rizvi Builder's won 'the man of the match' trophy for the final's and was given cash prize of Rs 21,000.
Bating first Rizvi Builder's opener Varun Kumar stuck to the wickets, however, at the other end wickets kept on tumbling at regular intervals. Varun in his innings of 59 runs struck the ball outside boundery line six times in 80 balls, however, the middle order batsmen Deepak Yadav (25) and skipper Jyoti Yadav (21) also assisted well in his team's total of 205 runs in 39.2 overs.
Replying the Rizvi Builder's innings, Indian Oil didn't started well, only Cheteshwar Pujara's well compiled score of 45 runs saved from embarrassing innings, while Mander Phadke tried his best to cross the targeted score and contributed 39 runs, but Paresh Patel shattered the hopes of the Indian Oil by claiming only 4 wickets.
Builder's skipper Jyoti Yadav wrapped up the rival's by claiming the last man Anand Rajan at the total of 177.
